The Federal State Budgetary Institution “Russian Academy of Education” is a state academy of sciences, the legal successor of the USSR Academy of Pedagogical Sciences, created in accordance with the Resolution of the Central Committee of the CPSU and the Council of Ministers of the USSR dated August 1, 1966 No. 596 by transforming the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the RSFSR, organized in accordance with the Resolution of the Council of People’s Commissars of the USSR dated October 6, 1943 yr. No. 1092.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

In its activities, the Academy is guided by the following goals:

  • worldwide assistance in the development of educational sciences in the Russian Federation;
  • scientific and methodological support for the education system of the Russian Federation;
  • provision of scientific and methodological guidance to scientific and educational organizations of educational sciences;
  • increasing the public prestige of scientific activity, the status and social security of workers in science and education.

The scope of activities and objectives of the Academy are:

  1. study and analysis of world achievements in the educational sciences with the aim of using them in the interests of the Russian Federation;
  2. summarization and dissemination in the Russian Federation and abroad of progressive domestic experience in the development of education and achievements of educational sciences;
  3. participation in the development, testing and examination of new educational technologies, means and forms of organizing the education and upbringing of children;
  4. participation in the development and implementation of state educational policy, strategic directions, goals and programs for the development of education, interaction with state authorities and local governments in the development and implementation of educational policy;
  5. improvement of the psychological and pedagogical culture of society, provision of scientific and methodological assistance to the family, educational institutions and bodies implementing management in the education;
  6. preparation of proposals aimed at developing the material and social base of psychological and pedagogical sciences, increasing the degree of integration of science and education, effective implementation of the innovative potential of fundamental science and strengthening the social security of researchers;
  7. interaction with the Russian Academy of Sciences, other state academies of sciences, scientific societies, creative unions and other organizations involved in conducting scientific research.
